Meet the Eliant Team

Will Gould is Chief Executive Officer of Eliant. He heads sourcing and underwriting platforms and serves on the credit committees for a wide range of loan products and industry verticals including Asset Based Lending, Life Sciences & Technology Venture Lending, Franchise Finance and Entertainment Finance. Prior to co-founding MidCap Financial, Will created and ran the life sciences venture finance platform at Merrill Lynch Capital and managed the underwriting teams for healthcare asset-based lending at Merrill Lynch Capital and GE Capital. Will began his career practicing law in the corporate and securities group of Hogan & Hartson.  Will holds a BA in philosophy from Haverford College and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Sarood joined Eliant in 2021 as a Managing Director and first employee. He leads AR and AP Financing & Solutions. Sarood is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing transactions across a range of industries and products.

Prior to joining Eliant, Sarood worked in private equity, investment banking, and financial technology. Sarood was an early employee at Taulia, a company that was acquired by SAP. At Taulia, Sarood was responsible for scaling the organization from 5 enterprise customers to over 120. Sarood has a deep expertise in working with corporate clients on structuring and implementing financing solutions across working capital. Sarood began his career in the leveraged finance and technology, media, and telecom teams at JP Morgan.

He holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business.

Tim joined Eliant in 2024 as the Chief Operating Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in leading large-scale businesses and operations.

Before joining Eliant, Tim served as Deputy Treasurer and Chief Operating Officer for General Electric’s Global Treasury Operations, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the organization into three publicly traded companies. He also led GE Capital’s Working Capital Solutions business, specializing in accounts receivables factoring and supply chain finance. Tim’s earlier roles at GE Capital included President & CEO of GE Capital Bank and CFO & Capital Markets Leader for GE Capital US Equipment Finance. He began his career at GE as a participant in the Financial Management Program (FMP).

Tim is based in Connecticut and holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from Siena College.

Tom joined Eliant in 2024 as Managing Director, responsible for originating and executing Eliant’s AR & AP financing solutions.

Tom has over 15 years of experience in structured trade and project finance, with a focus on cross-border transactions supported by Export Credit Agencies, multilateral institutions, and trade credit insurers. Previously, Tom worked at Citibank and Greensill and served as counsel at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York.

Tom is based in New York and holds a BS in Economics and a BA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MBA and JD from Northwestern University. He is admitted to the New York Bar.

Rooney is the Chief Financial Officer of Eliant. He has over 20 years’ experience in the banking and financial services sector.

Prior to joining Eliant, Rooney was CFO of MUFG Global Markets Americas (and its US broker dealer MUFG Securities Americas Inc.), following CFO/Controller roles at NatWest Markets Securities Inc, RBS Global Banking & Markets and RBC Capital Markets in the US and Europe. He began his career at PwC in London, including time in Hong Kong and Melbourne, in the financial services sector auditing and advising international blue chip organizations.

Rooney is a UK Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) from the University of Birmingham, England.

Richard joined Eliant in 2024 with over 25 years experience in structured finance and structured credit solutions. Having started his career at The Transportation Group (Paine Webber) in London, he has held senior positions at various financial institutions including MUFG, Hitachi Capital, Citibank and Greensill.

Richard is based in Connecticut and holds a BA from Lehigh University and an MBA from Durham University (U.K.).

Dinesh joined Eliant in 2021 as a Managing Director and heads the Inventory Solutions business. He is an experienced supply chain and inventory finance professional with over 15 years of experience in structuring be-spoke capital and risk management solutions. Dinesh has spent most of his career in banking and has been responsible for originating and structuring working capital solutions involving purchase and sale of inventory through the bank owned trade companies. Dinesh has experience in structuring transactions for Fortune 100 US companies as well as leading corporates in EMEA and APAC. He also has experience in structuring commodity finance and hedging solutions.

He is based in Connecticut, holds an MBA from Cardiff Business School and is a Chartered Accountant from India.

John joined Eliant in 2023 and is currently a Managing Director, focusing on operations and risk. Prior to joining Eliant, he was Head of Risk Operations at Current, a consumer fintech company, where he deployed and oversaw credit and operational risk processes, developed new product workflows, and managed critical deposit fulfillment activities.

Before Current, John held various roles at WeWork, spanning partnerships, strategy, operations, and marketing. He also worked in corporate development and strategy at The Madison Square Garden Company, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities to expand MSG's presence. John began his career at Morgan Stanley as an analyst in capital markets and investment banking.

He holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Rahul joined Eliant in 2024 as a Managing Director, heading the Asia Pacific region. He is an experienced Trade and Supply Chain Finance professional with over 20 years of experience in origination, sales & marketing, structuring, product development, and asset distribution.

Rahul brings to Eliant extensive experience covering clients across the full spectrum, ranging from Global MNCs, Asian MNCs, and large local corporates to middle-market companies and SMEs. His expertise spans traditional and structured trade approaches. The first 15+ years of his career were spent with leading international banks in the Asia Pacific region. Over the past four years, he has been involved in the trade finance fintech space, where he has experience building a company from the ground up.

Rahul is based in Singapore. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from FMS, Delhi.

Sarah joined Eliant in 2024 as General Counsel.

Prior to joining Eliant, she supported Apollo’s Financial Institutions Group as counsel, following fourteen years with Skadden and Paul Weiss in the US, UK, France, and Hong Kong.

Sarah is based in New York and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with French law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK and the University of Strasbourg in France.

Mendel Yudin joined Eliant in 2023 as a Managing Director and is responsible for legal structuring and execution of transactions and financings. Prior to joining Eliant, Mendel practiced law in the structured finance groups of law firms King & Spalding LLP and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP where he worked on a variety of secured finance transactions including receivable and supply chain financings, mortgage and securities repurchase agreements, securitizations, and other esoteric financings.

Mendel holds a BS in finance from Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business, an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, and a JD from New York University School of Law.

Amal joined Eliant in 2021 as a Director of Eliant’s finance team. Amal is responsible for financial reporting and building a scalable accounting infrastructure for Eliant and its broadening clientele. Amal is a seasoned finance professional with a diverse background encompassing hedge fund management, nonprofit leadership, and franchise ownership. Before joining Eliant, Amal spent most of her career as controller of multi-strategy hedge funds, Trian Credit Partners and Sandell Asset Management, and as senior accountant at hedge fund administrators, such as SS&C GlobeOp and BNY Mellon. At Only One, a nonprofit organization, Amal was the Director of Finance. Amal has also ventured into entrepreneurship as a multi-franchise owner. Her hedge fund and entrepreneurial experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding of financial management in a dynamic and competitive environment, allowing her to drive profitability and growth. Amal is based out of New York area and holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.

Tom joined Eliant in 2024 as a Principal in Inventory Solutions, where he is responsible for structuring and executing bespoke working capital solutions.

Tom has 20 years of experience in supply chain, operations, finance, and engineering management in the hi-tech industry. Over the past 7 years, he has focused on structuring trade finance solutions from the client side. Tom began his career as an engineer in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Tom is based in the San Francisco area and holds an MBA and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and the Sloan School of Management.

Jeff joined Eliant in 2024 as the Treasurer. He has over 18 years of Treasury experience, holding leadership positions within global banking and finance organizations.

Prior to joining Eliant, Jeff was the Global Treasurer at Clear Street LLC, a diversified global financial services firm. At Clear Street, he provided leadership and daily execution in developing and scaling a global best-in-class Treasury function, including Capital, Liquidity, and Asset and Liability management. Before Clear Street, Jeff was the Sr. Global Treasury Manager at Remote Technology, where he focused on key initiatives such as global cash/finance structures, including the development of the firm’s multinational entity banking structure across over 60 countries. Prior to Remote Technology, Jeff held the role of Legal Entity Treasurer at UBS, responsible for the funding and liquidity activities of UBS’ regional entities and owning the Funding, Liquidity, and Asset and Liability Management frameworks. Additionally, Jeff has held Treasury and Liquidity Management roles at GE Capital and Ally Financial.

Jeff is based in New York and holds a BBA in Finance from Berkeley College.

Rose joined Eliant in 2021 and is the Head of Human Resources. She is responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources function to include recruitment, culture development and ensuring all people operations run smoothly. Rose also serves as the Head of Human Resources for several other Apollo Aligned Alternatives companies to include PK AirFinance, Cadma Capital Partners, Apterra Infrastructure Capital, VisionBridge and Artymis Holdings. Rose has over 13 years of diverse experience building, developing, and managing Human Resources within fast growing financial services organizations. Prior to joining Eliant she was Vice President of Human Resources at MKP Capital Management. Rose holds a PHR designation with the Human Resources Standards Institute.

She is based in Maryland and holds a BS in Arts Administration from Wagner College in New York City.

Sadiq Madraswala joined Eliant in 2022 as a Principal in Originations and is responsible for originating and structuring bespoke working capital solutions. He has over 12 years of structured trade finance and corporate coverage experience in traditional banking and alternative credit environments.

Sadiq spent most of his career at Standard Chartered Bank where he initially was on the global coverage team and subsequently spent 5 years originating and structuring working capital solutions involving the purchase and sale of inventory through the bank owned trade company. Sadiq has experience working with global corporates, engaging in complex transaction structuring and executing various sell-down and risk mitigation strategies.

He is based in New York and hold a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.

Matthew Rogers joined Eliant in 2021 as a Principal in Client Management and Operations and is responsible for implementation and ongoing program management. He has over 16 years experience in banking and finance.

Prior to joining Eliant, Matt spent 8 years at Standard Chartered Bank where he initially supported Transaction Banking for correspondent banks before moving to client coverage for the Technology, Media and Telecom client base. Matt left Standard Chartered as an Assistant Relationship Manager where he worked with the clients on a full suite of banking products including Trading Company solutions.

Matt is based in the San Francisco area and holds a BS from the University of California, San Diego.

Erik joined Eliant in 2024 as the Principal of Originations, where he is responsible for originating and structuring trade working capital solutions.

Before joining Eliant, Erik was the Interim Sales Head of Global Receivables and Trade Finance at Wells Fargo. During his tenure, he achieved a remarkable 200% business growth by structuring deals with large and mid-sized corporates across various industries. Prior to this role, Erik audited and advised large public and private corporations with the Houston practice.

Erik is based in Charlotte, NC. He holds a BA from Brigham Young University-Idaho, a Master’s in Accounting from Gonzaga University, and is an inactive CPA from the State of Washington.
