Meet the Eliant Team

Will Gould is Chief Executive Officer of Eliant. He heads sourcing and underwriting platforms and serves on the credit committees for a wide range of loan products and industry verticals including Asset Based Lending, Life Sciences & Technology Venture Lending, Franchise Finance and Entertainment Finance. Prior to co-founding MidCap Financial, Will created and ran the life sciences venture finance platform at Merrill Lynch Capital and managed the underwriting teams for healthcare asset-based lending at Merrill Lynch Capital and GE Capital. Will began his career practicing law in the corporate and securities group of Hogan & Hartson.  Will holds a BA in philosophy from Haverford College and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Rooney is the Chief Financial Officer of Eliant. He has over 20 years’ experience in the banking and financial services sector.

Prior to joining Eliant, Rooney was CFO of MUFG Global Markets Americas (and its US broker dealer MUFG Securities Americas Inc.), following CFO/Controller roles at NatWest Markets Securities Inc, RBS Global Banking & Markets and RBC Capital Markets in the US and Europe. He began his career at PwC in London, including time in Hong Kong and Melbourne, in the financial services sector auditing and advising international blue chip organizations.

Rooney is a UK Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) from the University of Birmingham, England.

John is the Chief Operating Officer of Eliant. Before joining Eliant in 2023, he was Head of Risk Operations at Current, a consumer fintech company. He was responsible for deploying and overseeing credit and operational risk processes and controls, developing new product processes, and managing critical deposit fulfillment activities.

Prior to Current, John was at WeWork in roles spanning partnerships, strategy, operations, and marketing. Previously, he worked in corporate development and strategy at The Madison Square Garden Company and was focused on identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities to expand MSG's presence. John began his career at Morgan Stanley as an analyst in capital markets and investment banking.

He holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Sarood joined Eliant in 2021 as a Managing Director and first employee. He leads AR and AP Financing & Solutions. Sarood is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing transactions across a range of industries and products.

Prior to joining Eliant, Sarood worked in private equity, investment banking, and financial technology. Sarood was an early employee at Taulia, a company that was acquired by SAP. At Taulia, Sarood was responsible for scaling the organization from 5 enterprise customers to over 120. Sarood has a deep expertise in working with corporate clients on structuring and implementing financing solutions across working capital. Sarood began his career in the leveraged finance and technology, media, and telecom teams at JP Morgan.

He holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business.

Dinesh joined Eliant in 2021 as a Managing Director and heads the Inventory Solutions business. He is an experienced supply chain and inventory finance professional with over 15 years of experience in structuring be-spoke capital and risk management solutions. Dinesh has spent most of his career in banking and has been responsible for originating and structuring working capital solutions involving purchase and sale of inventory through the bank owned trade companies. Dinesh has experience in structuring transactions for Fortune 100 US companies as well as leading corporates in EMEA and APAC. He also has experience in structuring commodity finance and hedging solutions.

He is based in Connecticut, holds an MBA from Cardiff Business School and is a Chartered Accountant from India.

Mendel Yudin joined Eliant in 2023 as a Managing Director and is responsible for legal structuring and execution of transactions and financings. Prior to joining Eliant, Mendel practiced law in the structured finance groups of law firms King & Spalding LLP and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP where he worked on a variety of secured finance transactions including receivable and supply chain financings, mortgage and securities repurchase agreements, securitizations, and other esoteric financings.

Mendel holds a BS in finance from Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business, an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, and a JD from New York University School of Law.

Sadiq Madraswala joined Eliant in 2022 as a Principal in Originations and is responsible for originating and structuring bespoke working capital solutions. He has over 12 years of structured trade finance and corporate coverage experience in traditional banking and alternative credit environments.

Sadiq spent most of his career at Standard Chartered Bank where he initially was on the global coverage team and subsequently spent 5 years originating and structuring working capital solutions involving the purchase and sale of inventory through the bank owned trade company. Sadiq has experience working with global corporates, engaging in complex transaction structuring and executing various sell-down and risk mitigation strategies.

He is based in New York and hold a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.

Matthew Rogers joined Eliant in 2021 as a Principal in Client Management and Operations and is responsible for implementation and ongoing program management. He has over 16 years experience in banking and finance.

Prior to joining Eliant, Matt spent 8 years at Standard Chartered Bank where he initially supported Transaction Banking for correspondent banks before moving to client coverage for the Technology, Media and Telecom client base. Matt left Standard Chartered as an Assistant Relationship Manager where he worked with the clients on a full suite of banking products including Trading Company solutions.

Matt is based in the San Francisco area and holds a BS from the University of California, San Diego.

Amal joined Eliant in 2021 as a Director of Eliant’s finance team. Amal is responsible for financial reporting and building a scalable accounting infrastructure for Eliant and its broadening clientele. Amal is a seasoned finance professional with a diverse background encompassing hedge fund management, nonprofit leadership, and franchise ownership. Before joining Eliant, Amal spent most of her career as controller of multi-strategy hedge funds, Trian Credit Partners and Sandell Asset Management, and as senior accountant at hedge fund administrators, such as SS&C GlobeOp and BNY Mellon. At Only One, a nonprofit organization, Amal was the Director of Finance. Amal has also ventured into entrepreneurship as a multi-franchise owner. Her hedge fund and entrepreneurial experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding of financial management in a dynamic and competitive environment, allowing her to drive profitability and growth. Amal is based out of New York area and holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.

Rose joined Eliant in 2021 and is the Head of Human Resources. She is responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources function to include recruitment, culture development and ensuring all people operations run smoothly. Rose also serves as the Head of Human Resources for several other Apollo Aligned Alternatives companies to include PK AirFinance, Cadma Capital Partners, Apterra Infrastructure Capital, VisionBridge and Artymis Holdings. Rose has over 13 years of diverse experience building, developing, and managing Human Resources within fast growing financial services organizations. Prior to joining Eliant she was Vice President of Human Resources at MKP Capital Management. Rose holds a PHR designation with the Human Resources Standards Institute.

She is based in Maryland and holds a BS in Arts Administration from Wagner College in New York City.
